The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, will be in theaters on March 4th!
Matt Revess, the director and screenwriter of Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, has released a high-definition clip of a scene from the movie.
The scene where Bruce Wayne faced a nasty surprise prepared by The Riddler while attending a church funeral had recently spread on social media. Matt Reeves shared on his Twitter account, “Many of you have seen this scene from The Batman on the internet. So I decided to put this video in 4K on my Vimeo.” which contains the explanation.
In the clip, mayoral candidate Bella Reál (Jayme Lawson) approaches Wayne at the funeral of Gotham Mayor Don Mitchell (Rupert Penry-Jones). About Reál, the late Martha and Thomas Wayne, “You may really be doing more for this city. Your family has a history of philanthropy, but as far as I can tell, you’re not doing anything.” she says. Just then, Bruce Wayne takes action to save the mayor’s younger son from a vehicle speeding into the church. Inside the vehicle is missing District Attorney Gil Colson (Peter Sarsgaard), carrying a special message from Ridler (Paul Dano) to Batman and a bomb set to blow up the church.
