With the many Diablo 4 leaks, it’s going to be time for Blizzard to communicate fairly quickly. The publisher would also have well-defined plans on this subject.
Diablo 4, a big presence at the Game Awards 2022?
Insider Tom Henderson (via Insider Gaming) caught wind of information about Diablo 4. First, he claims that the press attended a private presentation followed by a hands-on. The prints could then be online on December 7th. And that’s not all.
During this event, Rod Fergusson, who oversees the franchise, “would have invited all journalists not to miss the Game Awards 2022”. Why ? There would be a series of announcements including the release date. According to WindowsCentral’s Jez Corden, the hack’n’slash will be available in April 2023 with pre-orders opening during the ceremony. Rumors denied by Mike Ybarra, president of Blizzard, who however did not explain what was false.
On the opening of pre-orders for example, an internal Blizzard document stipulated that these would be launched during the Game Awards. According to Henderson, there are also traces of an open beta in the PS Store, and the game would be codenamed “We love dogs”.
