Announced three years ago, the animated series adaptation of the video game license has made good progress. Several seasons are even planned according to the creator, Adi Shankar.



The producer Adi Shankar has finally given news of the animated series Devil May Cry announced in November 2018, intended for Netflix and adapted from the famous video game franchise of Capcom.
In an interview with IGN, Adi Shankar spoke about the upcoming series and clarified that he and co-creator Alex Larsen had already finished writing the scripts for the show’s first season. “The scripts for season 1 have been completed“Shankar said.”They are awesome. I couldn’t be more excited.“
Adi Shankar explained that season 1 will include “eight episodes“, but that the story will not end there: just like with Castlevania – the Netflix animated series of which he is the producer – he plans a”arc over several seasons“.
While he does not reveal specific details of the story, he nevertheless confirms that several characters from the Devil May Cry franchise will appear. “I can confirm that Vergil is in it, as well as Lady, and of course Dante tooProduction is scheduled to begin sometime in 2022. Currently, no release information has been confirmed, so it is not clear when fans can expect to see the series on Netflix.
