Netflix will be offering the first season of “Demon Slayer”, the new Japanese animated series which breaks all records, from November 1st!
The Demon Slayer phenomenon is finally coming to Netflix! The adaptation of the manga signed Koyoharu Gotōge will indeed be available from November 1 on the platform; Note that this is not the first broadcast of the series in France, the latter being already available on Wakanim and Crunchyroll.
Best-selling manga in 2020 in Japan, Demon slayer follows the adventures of Tanjirō, an aspiring demon hunter, ready to make any sacrifices to save his sister Nezuka, who has become a demon after the attack that decimated their family clan. The comic strip is published in France by the publisher Panini Manga (18 volumes available to date).
In 2020, the license also made an impression via its film Demon Slayer: The Infinity Train, which became the biggest success of all time in Japan with more than 26 million admissions (pulverizing the previous record film held by Spirited Away and its 24.8 million admissions). In France, the feature film was also successful with more than 700,000 admissions!
Note that the news of Demon slayer (in addition to the release of its volume 19 on October 13) will also be marked by the broadcast of the mini-series in seven episodes adapted from the Infinity Train (from October 10) then by the launch of its second season from December 5 in simulcast on Crunchyroll and Wakanim.
