Revealed with “Esther”, Isabelle Fuhrman was present in Deauville for the screening of the excellent “The Novice”. We met her and during our interview she spoke about the prequel to “Esther” which is due out next year.
Isabelle Fuhrman was only ten years old when she filmed Esther (2009). A film that will have marked the minds of many people. Jaume Collet-Serra offering a mastered thriller with a rather incredible twist. Indeed, the film follows a couple who decide to adopt a little girl: Esther. The child is special and strange things are starting to happen. Then the revelation.
Esther is actually an adult in her thirties, a bit psychopathic! A crazy revelation which obviously participated in makingEsther a cult object in the genre.
Ten years later, Isabelle Fuhrman is back
More than ten years later, we were very happy to find the actress again, now 24 years old. She was present in Deauville for the screening of the film The Novice directed by Lauren Hadaway. A very physical film which fascinated us (see our review) and in which Isabelle Fuhrman delivers a big performance.
We were therefore able to meet her to talk about her, her first steps in front of the camera and obviously his experience on Esther.
During our interview, we obviously asked her about the prequel toEsther, titled for the moment Orphan: First Kill (English title). A necessarily complex project since, although the story will have to take place before the first film, the actress has grown up. Logically, therefore, first hesitated to reprise his role, before being convinced after the first tests and seeing the technique used to make it appear smaller.
Our meeting is to be discovered in the video in an article. The full interview with Isabelle Fuhrman will be available soon on the site. Orphan: First Kill should, according to the actress, go out next year. The production having suffered delays due to the pandemic but the shooting would be well completed. We hope that official images will be released soon.
