Kenneth Branagh is building up the pressure in the new trailer for his second Agatha Christie adaptation, “Death on the Nile.” Still surrounded by a cast of stars, including Gal Gadot, the British actor and director, reveals a little more about this deadly cruise in a new trailer.

It will rock on the Nile

After The crime of the Orient Express, Kenneth Branagh is back behind and in front of the camera for Death on the Nile. Another classic from Agatha Christie and a new adaptation for the cinema after the 1978 film directed by John Guillermin with Peter Ustinov as the famous mustached detective. A heritage not necessarily easy to wear, but Kenneth Branagh has already seriously proven himself with so The crime of the Orient Express, released in 2017.

A tense trailer where the threat looms

In this new trailer (at the head of the article), the magnificence of the landscapes and the shores of the Nile alternates with an atmosphere full of suspicion and suspense. A murder has been committed on the steamboat SS Karnak, and everyone is suspect. The framework is almost the same as for The crime of the Orient Express, except that here the camera takes place on the water. Asset of this film, her royal casting : notably Gal Gadot in Linnet Ridgeway, Tom Bateman in M. Bouc, Armie Hammer in Simon Doyle, Annette Benning in Euphemia and Emma Mackey in Jacqueline de Bellefort.

As a reminder, here is the official synopsis of Death on the Nile. The film is expected in our theaters February 9, 2022.

During a luxurious cruise on the Nile, what was to be an idyllic honeymoon ends with the brutal death of the bride. This crime marks the end of the holidays for detective Hercule Poirot. On board as a passenger, he was entrusted with the investigation by the captain of the boat. And in this dark affair of obsessive love with deadly consequences, there is no lack of suspects! A series of twists and turns followed which, against a backdrop of grandiose landscapes, gradually destabilized everyone’s certainties until the incredible outcome!
