Spanish actress Verónica Forqué was found dead at age 66 in her Madrid home. It would be a suicide. During her career, especially active in the 80s and 90s, she had won 4 Goya (the equivalent of the French Caesar).



Verónica Forqué is deceased. According to a police source at AFP (via BFMTV), actress “committed suicide at her home in Madrid”, she was 66 years old.
The Spanish actress was known for having played the title role of the luminous make-up artist Kika in the eponymous film signed by Pedro Almodóvar, which won her the Goya for Best Actress in 1994. It was then her third collaboration with the filmmaker, who had also worked with her on Matador with Antonio Banderas and What did I do to deserve this? with Carmen Maura.

Forqué had also won three other Goyas, one for Best Supporting Actress in El año de las luces (1987) and those for Best Actress in La vida alegre and Best Supporting Actress for Moros y cristianos, both in 1988!
