Chuck Norris reacts to Clarence Gilyard Jr’s death
The news will have surprised many, but we learned this November 29, 2022 the death of the actor Clarence Gilyard Jr. Even if the actor did not have a very prestigious career, he had marked the minds of an entire generation with the series Walker, Texas Ranger (1993-2001). Indeed, if Chuck Norris was the hero, Clarence Gilyard Jr remained an important element of the show, interpreting the ranger and friend of Walker, James Trivette.
Unfortunately, the comedian died on November 28, 2022, at the age of 66. Predictably, his former colleague Chuck Norris took the time to pay his respects. The pair had collaborated together on Walker, Texas Ranger for eight seasons. Chuck Norris therefore expressed his pain and his support for the actor’s family in a post on his account instagram.
It is with great sadness that I learn of the passing of my dear friend and co-star, Clarence Gilyard Jr. For nearly a decade, we had a great time working together and we both loved translating justice for the wicked. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and children. You will be deeply missed by all who knew you. May you rest in peace, my friend. Till we Meet Again.
A face from the 1980s
A beautiful tribute from Chuck Norris which follows that of the Fine Arts University of Nevada where Clarence Gilyard Jr taught since 2006. Although he had secondary but notable roles in the late 1980sthe actor did not tour regularly after the 2000s. Enough all the same for him to remain in the memory of a good number of spectators.

We will then think of him in front of Top Gun, crystal trap or LA Takedown. Films that allowed him to collaborate with great filmmakers like Tony Scott, John McTiernan and Michael Mann. The causes of his death were not specified.
