Dead Island 2 needs more time to land in players’ hands. However, the developers have already announced a new release date. A major report?
Back from the dead at Gamescom 2022 with a crazy trailer, Dead Island 2 will not be able to keep the commitments it has made.
A postponement and a new date for Dead Island 2
Even if the studio says it is aware of the irony of the thing, it is not a joke, Dead Island 2 is unfortunately postponed for several months. While it should have finally been released on February 3, 2023, the zombie game playable in solo or up to 3 in co-op will not finally arrive until April 28, 2023.
But there is also good news because the title will be the subject of a presentation on December 6, with the promise of a trailer and gameplay “throbbing”.
We have some important news for you, so let’s rip the bandage off soon. We push back Dead Island 2. The new release date is set for April 28, 2023.
The irony of the game’s postponement is not lost on us, and we’re as disappointed as you surely are. The delay is only twelve short weeks and the development is in the final stretch. We will take the time necessary to ensure that we can launch a game that we are proud of. For those of you who have been waiting for years, thank you for standing with us.
In the meantime, we’ll be releasing a new trailer and thrilling gameplay in a dedicated showcase that will be live on December 6 on our Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as on the official website.
If this postponement is disappointing, as always, there is a priori nothing to worry about. Despite a chaotic development and a change of studio, the software looks very cool as explained further in our preview.
