Matthieu Jean-Toscani revealed to Media+ that a “biopic” devoted to Chef Cyril Lignac should be released in our dark rooms before the summer.
The kitchen takes over the cinema! After the recent Délicieux by Eric Besnard, The Chef by Philip Barantini and the comedy La Brigade by Louis-Julien Petit in cinemas on March 23, a feature film dedicated to Cyril Lignac will soon see the light of day.
In an interview with the site Media+, Matthieu Jean-Toscani, the boss of the Story Plus group, announced that he was producing a “biopic” devoted to Chef and TV host, Cyril Lignac. “For the cinema, we are producing Dragon, a biopic on Cyril Lignac which will be released before the summer in 150 theaters in France.”.
The latter specifies that he entrusted the staging to Hervé Martin-Delpierre, director of the documentary Daft Punk Unchained. “He has been following the favorite chef of the French for two and a half years. We want to make this film travel to international festivals“.
The title of the feature film refers to the name of the last restaurant of the starred Chef located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. No other information has yet been revealed but it should be a documentary.
Revealed in 2005 thanks to the television program “Oui Chef”, Cyril Lignac quickly became one of the most appreciated Chefs by the French and established himself as one of the new stars of the French audiovisual landscape.
