At the same time when Cyberpunk 2077 achieves a spectacular comeback, we learn that the studio has long-term plans for the series.
A sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 confirmed
The Phantom Liberty single-player DLC will be the only additional content for Cyberpunk 2077 because the teams are very busy elsewhere. CD Projekt Red is indeed in the process of producing a sequel to its flagship game which has dominated the news for years, for better or for worse.
This “Cyberpunk 2” is currently called Project “Orion” internally. Adam Kiciński, president of CD Projekt Red, says this episode will “prove the power and potential of the Cyberpunk universe”. And to be sure not to miss, the company is setting up two new teams that will form CD Projekt Red North America.
Our plans are certainly ambitious and require a lot of work, dedication and growth. This is why we are setting up a new team in Boston, which together with that of Vancouver, will form our new studio – CD Projekt Red North America. We will thus be fully capable of exploiting the pool of North American talent.
No word on output window and other information on this Cyberpunk 2077 Orion. Will we still evolve in Night City? In a new city? Who to succeed Keanu Reeves on the E3 stage? To be continued…
