Be careful, it’s going to swing violent straight lines and go into the ropes! The trailer for “Creed 3”, the ninth film in the “Rocky” saga starring and directing Michael B. Jordan, promises a brutal and merciless spectacle.
Michael B. Jordan is back
Without Sylvester Stallone, but with Michael B. Jordan back in front of the camera and for the very first time directing a feature film, Creed 3 is revealed in a necessarily muscular and brutal trailer (see top of article). After defeating Viktor Drago in Creed 2Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) is living a dream both in the rings and with Bianca (Tessa Thompson) and their daughter Amara.
Well-known characters are notably back, such as Adonis’ stepmother (Phylicia Rashad) and his trainer Tony “Little Duke” Evers Jr (Wood Harris). But the “return” that interests us the most here, it’s Anderson Dame’s. The latter is a childhood friend of Adonis, just released from prison and also a boxer, played by a Jonathan Majors physically transformed.

Efficient and ruthless
For his first film as a director, Michael B. Jordan does not seem to bother with an overly complex scenario. But that’s probably what it takes to make this Creed 3 a success. The story is therefore simple: out of nowhere – finally from prison – an old friend finds Adonis. The latter, to whom we guess he feels indebted, offers him to train in his room. But Anderson Dame has a grudge. Bodybuilder and ultra-violent boxer, he will turn against Adonis and challenge him. Objective : take everything from him and live his life.

Resentment, an atmosphere of revenge and scores to settle, all the elements necessary for it to explode in the ring. As the images in this trailer show, we will be entitled to combat sequences where the blows will rain down and fall like anvils.
Creed 3 arrives in our cinemas in March 2023.
