Corsair unveils a flexible OLED monitor

During Gamescom 2022 in Cologne, we were able to learn of the existence of a strange flexible monitor from Corsair bearing the sweet name of Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240 OLED. Several months later it is time for the American manufacturer to reveal the beast in more detail, in particular via a video.

A flexible screen for Corsair

Corsair’s original idea is simple, instead of choosing between a curved panel or a flat panel, why not choose a monitor that can do both, depending on the situation? This is where the Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240 OLED is born. A 45 inch that can achieve a bend of 800R with easy handling as pie and visible below. Via two handles on each side of the screen.

Always higher in the characteristics Corsair announces a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits and a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1. The definition offers WQHD, i.e. 3440 x 1440 with a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 0.03 ms. The panel is obviously equipped with all the current technologies for perfect fluidity with AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC.

With all that, and as you might expect, the Corsair Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240 OLED is at the very high price of 2399 euros with the first shipments scheduled for the end of December 2022. Suffice to say that it is rather inaccessible for all comers. You will have to be an informed or wealthy technophile to have the opportunity to obtain it.
