Corsair: the manufacturer’s first laptop gives details

Corsair is best known for its peripherals and PC components such as its boxes or its RAM. But this time the manufacturer wants to see more and unveils the Voyager a1600 AMD Advantage Edition, a laptop which, as its name suggests, runs on AMD.

A solid setup for the first Corsair PC

The Voyager a1600 on the side of its screen offers a 16-inch QHD + IPS panel (2560 x 1600 definition) with a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 1 ms. All of this obviously benefits from AMD FreeSync Premium technology which will enhance the fluidity.

For its engine, you can choose between an AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS eight-core processor clocked up to 4.4 Ghz or an eight-core Ryzen 9 6900HS clocked up to 4.8 Ghz, with a Radeon RX graphics card to support 6800M. On the RAM side, there is also the choice between 16 and 32 GB of Corsair RAM Vengeance DDR5. Homemade ram, why call on an outside builder when you are afraid to buy directly from the parent company? Finally, the storage is based on an M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD from 1 to 2 TB.

A complete connection

The Corsair Voyager a1600 also offers very good connectivity with two USB 4.0 Thunderbolt ports, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, a USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port, a card reader and a jack socket. You can also enjoy Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5. to multiply the possibilities.

For streamers, the brand has partnered with Elgato to integrate the Stream Deck under the screen, thus serving as a control space with no less than 10 keys. All this has a price, and the Corsair Voyager a1600 is offered at 3299.99 euros in its most “simple” version and 3699.99 euros in its most premium version. Yes, clearly this is not a PC for all budgets.
