We already have them in May 2022 at the Star Wars Celebration seen at Disney’s D23 show is the first preview of the third “The Mandalorian”-Season has finally landed officially on the internet. So it’s high time for DashFUN YouTube moderator Sebastian to take a close look at the excerpts.
After the spin-off “The Book of Boba Fett” brought Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his cuddly protégé Grogu back together and teased what kind of new adventure awaits the two of them next, the trailer for the “Mandalorian” sequel now delivers an exciting prospect. As is well known, since he has removed his helmet, Mando must now wash himself clean in the living waters beneath the mines of Mandalore in order to be accepted back into his clan.
We can now see Mandalore, once destroyed by the Empire, in the trailer. The scenes in which the Mandalorian Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) has taken a seat on a throne probably also play here. She wants to rebuild her world and help it to new heights. But in order to actually become the leader, she would need the Darksaber – which, however, must be won in battle.
And since the legendary sound is currently in Din Djarin’s possession, a real conflict between him and Bo-Katan is finally looming. For though they’ve fought side by side on numerous occasions, Bo-Katan isn’t exactly thrilled with Mando’s radical take on the Mandalorian code and is likely willing to do anything to achieve her goal.

Meanwhile, there’s a happier reunion with Mando’s old client and friend Greef Karga (Carl Weathers), who appears to have managed to make his once-bleak world of Navarro flourish – although the trailer does hint that he’s struggling with a pirate problem . In his video, Sebastian speculates whether there will also be a return from the “Star Wars” animation series known space privateer Hondo could give.
What is particularly exciting, however, is that in the third season of “The Mandalorian’ a slur to (the one set a few years later)’Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker’ is beaten. On the one hand, we get to see the droid smith Babu Frik, who will later also tweak C-3PO. This could also mean that Din Djarin and Grogu make a detour to the planet Kijimi, where Babu Frik is at least in “Star Wars 9” is at home. And who knows, they might also bump into smuggler Zorii Bliss (Keri Russell), which could tell us more about her relationship with pilot ace Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac).
Maybe that’s not the only connection to “Star Wars 9”, which turns into “The Mandalorian“ further condensed. In the trailer, the Imperial Dr. Pershing (Omid Abtahi), who appears to be still after Grogu’s blood to continue his experiments with Force-sensitive clones. And in this context we could in turn find an explanation for the emergence of “Star Wars 7” and “Star Wars 8” villain Snoke (Andy Serkis) and the return of the Emperor (Ian McDiarmid) in “Star Wars get 9”.
We’ll be smarter when the adventures of Din Djarin, Grogu and Co. finally continue: The third season of Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ in spring 2023but there is no exact date yet.
