The first episode of the Game Of Thrones prequel House Of The Dragon will be available on the night of August 22, 2022. In Germany, the series will then always run parallel to the US broadcast on Sky.



A few days ago, actress Emma D’Arcy’s website announced that “House Of The Dragon” will start in August 2022. This information was quickly deleted but had of course been discovered by fans long ago. Now US pay-TV broadcaster HBO has officially confirmed it:
House Of The Dragon will launch in the US on August 21, 2022. Because of the time difference, The series will then premiere in Germany on the night of August 22nd. Sky has already announced that it will make “House Of The Dragon” available for download parallel to the US broadcast on Sky Ticket and Sky Q.
If you want to sleep in, you can of course easily watch the weekly episodes after getting up. The episodes are always available on Sky Atlantic at 8:15 p.m. It is planned to make the series available directly both in the original sound and in the German dubbing.

“House Of The Dragon‘ was set many years before the events of ‘Game Of Thrones. The Targaryens rule the land with their dragons. King Viserys I. (Paddy Considine), who wants to govern in a kind, just and harmonious manner is currently ruling Westeros. For him, it is clear that his young daughter Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) will one day succeed him. However, the fearless dragon rider is of the wrong gender in the eyes of some traditionalists.
