


On the Twitter account the new anime adaptation of the manga series »Urusei Yatsura« was released today announcedthat it will be broadcast on Japanese television from October 13, 2022. You can see a new visual later in this article.
First season with two courses
»Urusei Yatsura« is being directed by Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura at the David Productions studio. Yuuko Kakihara (Koikimo) is in charge of series composition, while Naoyuki Asano (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!) is in charge of character design.
The first season of the comedy series is scheduled to air non-stop for two consecutive cours (three months each). In total, the new adaptation will consist of 46 episodes, which implement selected stories from the original manga series.
The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Rumiko Takahashi, which was published in Shounen Sunday magazine between August 1978 and January 1987 and was completed in 34 volumes. A first anime adaptation of the series aired in Japan between 1981 and 1986.
