


On the Twitter account the anime adaptation of »Bocchi the Rock!« was announced today announcedthat it will be broadcast in Japan from October 8, 2022. A new trailer and a visual can be found further down in this article.

»Bocchi the Rock!« is being directed by Keiichirou Saitou (storyboard on »Sonny Boy«) at the CloverWorks studio. Erika Yoshida (»Tower of God«) is writing the script and taking on the series composition, while Kerorira contributes to the character design.
It stars Yoshino Aoyama (Alicia in The Promised Neverland) as Hitori Gotou, Sayumi Suzushiro (Kei in Kaguya-sama) as Nijika Ijichi, Saku Mizuno (Rena in Selection Project) as Ryou Yamada, and Ikumi Hasegawa (Vladilena in »86 EIGHTY-SIX«) as Ikuyo Kita.
The original manga was penned by Aki Hamaji and has been published in Manga Time Kirara MAX magazine since December 2017. The publisher Houbunsha has published three volumes in the Japanese trade so far. The work has not yet been licensed in this country.
