How good is the deal? The RRP of the HW-Q800A was just under €800. We’re a long way from that now. Most recently, the soundbar was available from Amazon for around €420. Now the shipping giant has stepped up and pushed the price down to just under €350. But that is not enough. Thanks to Samsung’s cashback campaign, you can currently get an additional €50 discount on the soundbar.
So you still pay almost 300€ for the HW-Q800A. In order to be able to use the cashback campaign, you must register with Samsung and submit the invoice for the soundbar by September 18 at the latest. But beware: You have to buy the HW-Q800A by September 4 at the latest.

The HW-Q800A is at the entry point to the premium category in Samsung’s model range. This is revealed by the “Q” in the article description. In this case, premium not only means 3D sound, but also a wireless subwoofer, Alexa and Apple AirPlay support, as well as the Acoustic Beam technology developed by Samsung. This should create a spatial sound experience.
In practice, this works very well. The eight integrated loudspeakers are convincing, as long as you don’t belong to the audiophile audience. If you like streaming at high volume, you should also keep your hands off the HW-Q800A. Because the soundbar weakens noticeably here.
In most cases, however, the HW-Q800A is completely sufficient. In particular, those who don’t like technology should appreciate the automatic sound adjustment. Various sound modes are also on board and make handling easier.
The soundbar unfolds its full potential in combination with a newer Samsung television. Then you can use the Q-Symphony function to synchronize your TV speakers with the Q800A and further optimize the sound.
All in all, Samsung offers a well-rounded package for most home cinemas with the entry-level premium soundbar. The currently low price is another argument for the HW-Q800A.
