Deprived of a theatrical release because of the health situation, Cinderella joined the long list of films that have passed or will go through the streaming box. Good news therefore for Prime Video subscribers who will be able to discover this new adaptation of Charles Perrault’s tale from September 3. And the trailer that was unveiled yesterday plunges us into a magical world … and modern at the same time.
Directed and imagined by Kay Cannon (The Hit Girls), this musical has the particularity of presenting original titles (like the one performed by Camila Cabello) but also covers such as “Somebody to Love“(Queen) or”Rhythm Nation“(Janet Jackson) All accompanied by pretty well-brought-out dance scenes.
As the trailer suggests, this new iteration of Cinderella has a very specific dream: to one day be able to open your own sewing store. And it is not the prince, played by Nicholas Galitzine, as well as the sumptuous life he offers her that will prevent him from realizing it.
