If the new “Fast & Furious” films are too over-the-top for you, “Special Delivery” is something for you. The trailer for the Actioner is not only reminiscent of the beginnings of the series with Vin Diesel, but above all of the “The Transporter” films with Jason Statham.
In “Special Delivery” there are lots of squeaky tires, roaring engines, daring, oh what, crazy driving maneuvers and spectacular crashes to experience. The focus of the turbulent events is the young Eun-ha (Park So-dam). She works full-time at a junkyard just outside of Seoul, but still has a secret second job.
Every night she blasts through the streets of the Korean capital in her tuned-up BMW making deliveries. These are not necessarily harmless birthday presents, pizza or flowers. Many of Eun-ha’s customers let her drive around goods and people that are either stolen or on the run from someone. But that hasn’t mattered to her so far, as long as she only gets her bonus in the end.
One evening, however, a boy, crying bitterly, gets into their car. As it turns out, half the underworld and much of the local police are after him. Because Seo-won’s (Jung Hyeon-jun) father was murdered by corrupt cops around the powerful Jo Kyeong-pil (Song Sae-byeok). Now he alone has the security key to a bank account that contains $30 million that he wants. Eun-ha spontaneously decides to protect the little one and of course becomes a target himself…
“Special Delivery” will be released in Germany on June 3, 2022 with FSK 16 approval on Blu-ray and DVD. Both formats can already be pre-ordered from online providers such as Amazon.
A limited media book will also be available from May 27, 2022. This special edition not only offers cool, exclusive cover artwork and a 20-page booklet for the main film, but also a second Blu-ray as a bonus. This one features “Slate – Here She Comes To Save The World,” another Korean-derived female-fronted action hit.

Two “Parasite” stars in “Special Delivery”
fans of the grandioseparasites“ Both Park So-dam and Jung Hyeon-jun know from the Korean Oscar winner. The duo can now be seen here in a refreshingly different project. It’s reminiscent of Jason Statham’s The Transporter series for its premise coupled with high-speed four-wheel chases. Fans of the early Fast & Furious parts, which were more classic action thrillers than bombast blockbuster fare, should also enjoy Private Eye director Park Dae-min’s new work.
Supporting roles include Song Sae-byeok from “Mother” and Kim Eui-sung from “Train To Busan” and the series highlight currently running on AppleTV+ “WeCrashed” included.
