France 2 is broadcasting a new episode of “Captain Marleau” this evening, which notably welcomes Nolwenn Leroy as a guest. How is the singer doing for her first steps as an actress against Corinne Masiero?
After welcoming last week Pascal Legitimus, Mylène Demongeot, and Frédérique Bel, Capitaine Marleau, the phenomenon series of France 2, continues this evening with a new unpublished, “Claire obscure”, which sees the inenarable heroine camped by Corinne Masiero cross the route of a pretty bunch of guests, including singer Nolwenn Leroy, who is taking her first steps as an actress for the occasion.
Still directed by Josée Dayan, this new section follows Marleau’s investigation to find the killer of Claire, a 17-year-old girl who, like other students at her agricultural high school, seemed to have ambiguous relations with Yannick Séguin (Bénabar ), a charismatic and original teacher.
Like Jenifer and Elodie Frégé before her, Nolwenn Leroy in turn launches into comedy in parallel with a musical career far from being on hiatus since the interpreter of “Cassé” and “Nolwenn Ohwo!” will release a highly anticipated new album on November 12th.
And this first attempt is rather successful, as Nolwenn shows naturalness and ease in the role of Deborah Fourrier, a veterinarian who will quickly find herself involved in the investigation of Captain Marleau since she maintains a romantic relationship. with Yannick Séguin.
This first foray of the singer into a fiction is also the only real interest of this episode which suffers from a plot against a background of ecology anything but exciting. And gives more than ever the impression that the series is based only on the freewheeling performance of Corinne Masiero, who multiplies the punch lines, sometimes to the point of indigestion.
Sadly, Nolwenn Leroy isn’t as present onscreen as one might hope, appearing only in a handful of sequences. Indeed, the main guests of this unpublished episode written by Marc Eisenchteter and John McNulty are especially Bénabar, Pascale Arbillot, and Charlélie Couture, who do what they can with a scenario and dialogues without flavor.
While the series worn by Corinne Masiero will soon be back on France 2 with a new episode that will welcome Elie Semoun and Gérard Darmon as guests, Nolwenn Leroy does not yet seem to have other projects for television or cinema. But we can only hope that this first role in a fiction will make him want to repeat the experience very quickly.
