Postponed due to the health crisis, the CANNESERIES festival is back in force next October with a sacred opening series: season 2 of Validé, an original CANAL + creation on the French rap scene.
Initially scheduled from April 9 to 14, 2021 on the Croisette and online, the 4th edition of CANNESERIES will finally be held from October 8 to 13, 2021, concurrently with the 37th edition of MIPCOM, the International Entertainment Content Market (October 11-14 ).
CANNESERIES will begin its festivities with an opening series that should make people happy: season 2 of Validé, an original CANAL + creation initiated by Franck Gastambide. The first four episodes of this new season will be screened in preview at the Lumière auditorium on Friday, October 8.
The selection of the original CANAL + creation, which had been a hit when it was released, was obvious to Albin Lewi, the artistic director of CANNESERIES:
“It seemed obvious to us to welcome Franck Gastambide and VALIDÉ at CANNESERIES. The first season should have been part of the festival in 2020 but the health situation decided otherwise. The series received the Audience Award at CANNESERIES in 2020.
Therefore, we had in mind to have season 02 for this 2021 edition. Impossible to miss this social fable in the dark universe of rap with moments of pure comedy, a real phenomenon that has exceeded 35 million viewings for its first season. “
