The 75th annual Cannes Film Festival was inaugurated this year. The opening ceremony, where traditionally the stars showed up on the red carpet in stylish outfits, was the scene of colorful and glorious moments as always.
As the opening film of the festival this year, the French director Michel Hazanavicius managed by “Coupez!” (Final Cut) was chosen. After the Red Carpet ceremony, the film was screened. Along with Michel Hazanavicius, the cast of the film Finnegan Oldfield, Berenice BejoRomain Duris and Matilda Anna Ingrid also walked the red carpet.
Also at the opening ceremony, the Honorary Award of the 75th Cannes Film Festival Forest Whitakerwas presented to. Forest Whitaker, who starred in films such as “The Butler”, “Black Panther”, “Arrival”, won an Oscar for his unforgettable performance in “The Last King of Scotland”.
One of the moments that marked the ceremony was the speech delivered by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski via video link. Former actor Zelenski drew similarities between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Charlie Chaplin’s movie “The Great Dictator” and said, “The world needs a new Charlie Chaplin to tell about new dictators.”
