Interrupted last September without explanation, season 9 of “Candice Renoir” will return at the beginning of January on France 2. The channel will thus offer the four remaining unpublished episodes. Before a season 10 a little later, which will be the last.
Good news for Candice Renoir fans: the somewhat whimsical investigator embodied by Cécile Bois will be back in early January on France 2 with new unseen episodes, eagerly awaited for several weeks by the faithful of the successful detective series.
On September 24, the channel interrupted the broadcast of season 9 after only six episodes, without giving any explanation, even if one could assume that the goal was to avoid a direct confrontation with Dance with the stars on TF1.
And after a little more than three months of absence, it is therefore on Friday January 7, 2022 at 9:05 pm that the viewers of France 2 will be able to find the continuation of this new ninth batch, which will therefore return to the air with the episode. 7, “Who goes hunting loses his place”, which forms the first part of a two-part survey.
Candice Renoir will thus make a brief return to France 2, the time of only four episodes. Season 9 has a total of ten episodes. But, do not panic, since a tenth season is already shot and should arrive on the air in the course of the year 2022, without further details at this stage.
A season 10 which, as we learned last week, will be the last since Candice Renoir will stop. In its current form anyway. Indeed, France 2 has announced that the series will then continue through 90-minute event episodes, the first of which are scheduled for 2023.
“It’s not about stopping such a strong brand. But we’re going to change Candice Renoir’s form after season 10 airs.”, explained Anne Holmes, director of fiction for France Televisions, to Parisien at the end of last week.
Two episodes are already in writing. And the heroine played by Cécile Bois will even be entitled to a rather unexpected crossover with Alex Hugo, the mountain cop played by Samuel Le Bihan. An event which should be shot in 2022 and already promises to fascinate fans of France Télévisions detective series.
Note that, for the more impatient, the entire season 9 of Candice Renoir is already available on the Salto platform, even before the latest surveys are broadcast in January on La Deux.
