Call of Duty Warzone 2: it’s a disaster on PC and the game wants you to pay

If the players seem to be responding to the appointment, Call of Duty Warzone 2 is having a hard time getting its head above water on Steam. He would even try to charge some players.

Available since November 16 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, PS4 and Xbox One, Call of Duty Warzone 2 seems to have gotten off to a flying start for the launch of its season 1. As expected, Activision’s free-to-play battle royale has made headlines . In particular on Twitch where it literally exploded the competition with a peak audience of around 500,000 spectators. Only here, some returns are not as good as that and many players complain about bugs.

Warzone 2 does not appeal to players Steam

We will note in bulk, problems with the new battle pass which does not always give the famous mandatory tokens to unlock the rewards, unstable menus (but now fixed), and a whole bunch of problems in game. Fans have for example made mention of problem with the gulag which does not always allow to fight or even instant death on the battlefield and for no reason. But the bulk of the problem would come mainly from the optimization, considered disastrous by a very large number of players. In short, all is not rosy for Acti’s FPS and on Steambad ratings are legion and cause the rating to drop to “rather negative”.

“Buy Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 to unlock everything”

Many other players also had the right to a big surprise after playing a few games. Several users have indeed declared (and proven) that they receive a pop-up blocking access to certain services, or even the complete game. A window with a message prompting players to checkout to purchase Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and unlock the entire experience Warzone 2. A shame when you know that the game is free-to-play.

Note that the bugs don’t just affect PC players. On consoles, however, optimization is not as problematic. At present, the majority of these bugs seem to have been resolved, but a few players are still reporting major issues. Infinity Ward has taken note of this and is working on their resolutions in real time. You can also follow their progress via their Trello. Still, players are frustrated and angry. Despite everything, we must admit that the launch of Warzone 2 all the same went much better than that ofOverwatch 2 which was simply unplayable.
