Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will take the place of CoD 2024

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 comes out on October 28, 2022 and we already know that a lot of paid content will be added. The good news is that this would be content for the single-player campaign, which is great news for fans of CoD campaigns.

Already plans for the future of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

The information comes once again from the always very informed journalist Jason Schreier who works at Bloomberg.

Next year they will be selling new items for MW2, an expansion or something like that (I’m not sure exactly what it will look like, but there will be line items as well). No new COD until 2024 as I reported earlier this year.

The opportunity to also confirm that the year 2024 will indeed be a year without CoD. Obviously this will allow Activision to offer more content over the length and to transform its license at least for a time into a marathon runner and no longer into a sprinter. A welcome change of direction? We let you judge.

Leaker GhostofHope also confirmed the information of a DLC for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 which affects the single player campaign:

EXCLUSIVE: The campaign DLC will be released at the end of 2023 with the map pack that I have already leaked.

In short, there is no longer any room for doubt now, especially since the two sources are very serious. The objective is to replace CoD 2024 with Modern Warfare 2. For the record, this Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 should notably offer us an atmosphere Sicario including the fight against drug traffickers. Note also the arrival of a character from the Mexican special forces.
