Three years after announcing their joint project, Guillermo del Toro and Netflix have just unveiled the cast and the list of episodes of Cabinet of Curiosities, a horrific anthology expected in 2022.
Cabinet of Curiosities, which was named before Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight, is the new collaboration between the American streaming giant and the director. Three years after the announcement of the project, the platform finally gives news, announcing the list of actors who will plunge into horror.
Cabinet of Curiosities is an anthology that brings somewhat lesser-known horror tales to life, some of which are based on the work of HP Lovecraft. However, two stories will be completely new and imagined by the Mexican director.
The latter personally chose the directors and screenwriters in charge of the project. We can cite for example David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight), Vincenzo Natali (Hannibal), Jennifer Kent (The Babadook) or David Prior (The Empty Man).
Casting side, we find among the best known: Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead), F. Murray Abraham (Mythic Quest), Crispin Glover (Back to the future), Ben Barnes (Shadow and Bones) or Essie Davis (Miss Fisher) ).
The 8 episodes should start filming very soon, to be uploaded in 2022 on Netflix.
