"Bullet Train"-Villain flays "Riverdale"- & "VikingsStars: Trailer for "Heart Of Champions"

“Heart Of Champions” takes place in the summer of 1999: the rowing team of a USElite-Colleges just lost their most important race. Which is also because there is a bitter rivalry between their captains Alex (Alexander Ludwig) and John (Alex MacNicoll).

After the holidays, everyone comes together again for the new season. With Chris (Charles Melton) there is not only a new student, but also a new coach in the person of the army veteran Mr. Murphy (Michael Shannon). He works with all means on the stamina and above all on the attitude of the boys to finally form them into a real team.

However, Alex and John remain unable to bury their differences. The coach sees Chris, who has been traumatized by his past, as a potentially much more effective leader of the team. Especially now that he seems to have found emotional footing in the pretty and smart Nisha (Ash Santos)…

“Heart Of Champions” made its North American debut last fall. In Germany, the title will now be released on Blu-ray and DVD on October 21, 2022 with FSK 12 approval. Both formats can be pre-ordered from online providers such as Amazon. If you don’t want to wait that long, you can purchase the film digitally from October 6, 2022 and then stream it immediately:

That from “Love Is Blind” director Michael Mailer’s sports and character drama is densely populated by young stars. We know most of them from TV and streaming series hits.

This is how Charles Melton celebrated his breakthrough in the cast of “Riverdale”, of which he has been a permanent member since the third season. In cinemas, he has starred in The Sun Is Also A Star and has had minor roles in Bad Boys For Life and Mainstream. The rowing brawlers at Melton’s side play Alexander Ludwig from “Vikings’ and Alex MacNicoll, who appeared in ‘Dead Girls Don’t Lie’, ‘Transparent’ and most recently ‘Barry’ embodied recurring characters.

The main female parts are occupied by Ash Santos and Lily Krug, the daughter of the German actress Veronica Ferres. Both actresses were already in front of the camera together for the thriller “Shattered”.

The best-known name on the cast list, however, is that of twice Academy Award-nominated Michael Shannon (“Shape Of Water”, “Man Of Steel”). The man from Lexington in the US state of Kentucky is currently with Brad Pitt with “Bullet Train’ to be seen in German cinemas.
