Released on August 3 at the cinema, “Bullet Train” is probably one of the great blockbusters of this festival period. With a crazy cast, it also has a few cameos, such as a certain Ryan Reynolds.
Bullet Train : gunfight
A high-speed train, criminals who clash in this closed space and a cluster of stars… Such is Bullet Trainbig-budget adaptation of the novel Maria Beetle by Kotaro Isaka.
Directed by David Leitch (John WickAtomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw… ), the film follows Ladybug, an unlucky assassin whose fate would have him find himself on a train where many criminals as formidable as him are camped. Its mission: to come out of the device alive.
Mix between burlesque comedy and action film, Bullet Train has an insane cast : Brad Pitt, Joey King, Bryan Tyree Henry, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hiroyuki Sanada, Sandra Bullock, Zazie Beetz, Bad Bunny, Michael Shannon and Logan Lerman, in particular.
For those who had the eye at the end of the film, a star is briefly grafted into a flashback. This is the inimitable Ryan Reynolds who plays the hitman Carver, the man who was supposed to carry out the mission before Ladybug replaced him.
Question, however: why such a short appearance for such a star? The answer is simple but funny, always in the image of the Canadian actor.
So, interviewed by Indiewirethe producer of Bullet Train. Kelly McCormick states that the reason is a fair return from the short appearance of Brad Pitt in Deadpool 2directed by David Leitch.
Remember, in fact: Brad Pitt was camping Ghost, a mutant recruited by Deadpool to face Cable. His ability being to be invisible, the character was totally absent from the screen… until his failed parachute landing where he ended up being electrocuted on high voltage lines. The character is then visible and we briefly recognize his interpreter: Brad Pitt.
Always follower of the good joke, Ryan Reynolds therefore wanted to appear just as short. The actor has also worked remotely with the film crew of Bullet Train. Indeed, at that time, he was shooting the Netflix film Adam through time.
Note that another improbable cameo is present in the film: that of Channing Tatum who plays an ordinary passenger on this crazy train.
