BOX-OFFICE FROM NOVEMBER 10 TO 16, 2021: THE TOP 10
Successful bet for Valérie Lemercier! His Aline takes first place. The film aroused the curiosity of nearly 600,000 spectators in one week (also including the previews). Aline is Valérie Lemercier’s 2nd biggest startup, behind Palais Royal !.
The Eternals continues to fill up with spectators: nearly 500,000 additional tickets were sold this week, favored like all films of this top by the public holiday of Thursday 11 November. The film directed by Chloé Zhao is over a million admissions, precisely 1.24 M. Still on the Marvel side, Venom 2 is now 4th, and passes the milestone of 1.5 million admissions.
To die can wait, 3rd this week, still resists well (nearly 200,000 additional admissions), and becomes, with its 3.8 million cumulative admissions, the 9th best James Bond in history, just ahead of Quantum of Solace (3, 71 M).
In terms of novelty, besides Aline, Cry Macho from Eastwood and Haute couture, with Nathalie Baye and Lyna Khoudri, both manage to find a place in this Top 10, with respectively 126,787 entries (5th) and 92,692 entries (9th).
French films Eiffel (6th), Lost illusions (7th) and The wolf and the lion (8th) continue their good momentum. The French Dispatch by Wes Anderson comes in 10th place.
Finally, let us note, outside the top 10, the threshold of 2 million crossed by Fast and Furious 9, 18 weeks after its release!
