The “The Mandalorian” spin-off series, titled “The Book of Boba Fett” and starring Temerua Morrison in the lead role, shows off in a heavy-duty, serious-pitched debut trailer.
The Book of Boba Fett The Mandalorian spin-off is revealed
While waiting for the return of the Jedi Master Obi-wan Kenobi in his dedicated series, the public of the Star Wars universe will be able to put a new show in their mouths with the next release of the series The Book of Boba Fett on Disney +. Expected for December 29, 2021, this series will explore a darker and less prestigious part of the very distant galaxy, entering the world of criminals and bounty hunters. Boba Fett is one of them, a legendary bounty hunter who monies his services to the highest bidder. Without warning, Disney has just unveiled the first trailer, which reveals the stakes and characters of the story (at the head of the article).
Welcome to the Star Wars Bandits
Of a smaller caliber than that of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett however intends to succeed in his experiment by following Boba Fett in his adventures. Specifically, according to the official synopsis:
After venturing into the shallows of the galaxy, the legendary bounty hunter and mercenary Fennec Shand return to the midst of the Tatooine Dunes to claim the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.
It’s Temuera Morrison who dons the armor of Boba Fett and Ming-Na Wen who plays Fennec Shand and, for the moment, in these few images, are the only ones to really show themselves. Led by Robert Rodriguez, Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, we find in this creation what we logically discovered in The Mandalorian. Twist of fate, the Baby Yoda revelation firmly anchored the series in a form of tradition, which this new series should not do, instead having fun developing a “police” Star Wars series with its power struggles and its antihero.
The Book of Boba Fett arrives on Disney + December 29, 2021.
