Despite the criticism leveled against the series, one of the interpreters of the “Book of Boba Fett” received the support of the daughter of an emblematic actor of the Star Wars saga.
Since its launch on December 29 on Disney +, it is an understatement to say that the series The Book of Boba Fett has failed to convince fans of the Star Wars universe. Criticized in particular for its choice of director and its less hectic plot, the program is far from unanimous with viewers. But a secondary character seems to have managed to make everyone agree: the Wookie bounty hunter Krrsantan the black.
Until then appeared in the official comics (in particular in the very good Darth Vader – Shadows and Lies published by Panini Comics), Krrsantan has little to do with Chewbacca, other than their wookie origins; Clad in heavy armor and equipped with numerous deadly weapons, the bounty hunter is a real killer on foot, with a taste for dismembering his opponents.
Popular with fans, Krrsantan has also been dubbed by Angie Mayhew, daughter of the late Peter Mayhew, the historical interpreter of Chewbacca in the Star Wars films. In a message relayed via her father’s social networks, the latter indeed welcomed the performance of comedian Carey Jones, wishing him in particular “Welcome to the Wookie Family”.
While many spin-offs have already been developed, who knows if this introduction of the character will not convince the authorities of the Disney + platform to offer Krrsantan le noir his own Star Wars series? The news would probably be better received by fans than a renewal of the Book by Boba Fett...
