“Bones and All”, Luca Guadagnino’s new film is unveiled with a trailer. The film is carried by Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell McKenzie who play a couple of young killers.
Always more blood for Luca Guadagnino with Bones and All
After the international success of Call Me By Your Name, Luca Guadagnino sign with Bones and All a second collaboration with the young Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet. This is a drama mixing teenage romance and gory murders. Inside, the fetish actor of the new generation gives the answer to the American Taylor Russell McKenzie, already accustomed to thrillers and dramatic films. Together, they embody Lee and Maren, two young people who embark on a deadly road trip.
To the sound of crooner Leonard Cohen and his title You Want it Darker, the trailer (in one article) of Bones and All already sets the hoarse and warm tone of youthful summer nights, where desires and urges – here for sure, murderous – intertwine. Not without recalling the dark and disturbing atmosphere of True Detective (which for its second season was already using the title nevermind of the Canadian singer), this preview gives us a taste of the sin of flesh and at bloodin an America that seems as devastated as its characters.
Luca Guadagnino thus rediscovers the influence of the Italian giallo. He who directed the remake of Suspiriaa great classic of the genre originally proposed by Dario Argento in 1977, and which was therefore (re)staged in 2018.

Approaching his thirties, Timothée Chalamet continues to play adolescent roles, oscillating between the image of the “good guy” (Call Me By Your Name, The Daughters of Doctor March) and less popular characters (lady bird, Don’t Look Up). With Bones and Allno doubt about what we will find: a red-haired killerevoking the color of the blood he is about to spill.
Surrounded by their victims or sleazy killer-style men, Maren and Lee seem alone in the worldcarried away by their fugue and stuck in the box of “weirdos”. The attraction of bodies will only be stronger. Between embraces in the middle of the meadows, nights at the motel and, of course, murders by moonlight.
Aimed at us”obsess”, this film with groovy notes puts us in the mouth with a trailer giving a first bloody taste what we can find out. Bones and All will be released in theaters on November 23.
