A voice actor spoke as part of a talk show about the massive production effort of »Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War«, which even affected other anime productions.
Over 80 voice actors
Noriaki Sugiyama once again voices the character Ishida Uryuu in the long-awaited sequel. And the rest of the well-known speaker cast also remains largely unchanged. After a large number of new characters appeared in the sequel, very popular voice actors were cast without further ado, which, according to Sugiyama, has brought many other anime productions to a standstill.
According to his statements, at times more than 80 voice actors were present at the same time during the soundtrack. And on those days, many other anime productions had to pause as a result, which of course caused a lot of resentment there. To give you an overview of the extent of the production, we present some of the new voices below.
Although these are only supporting roles, the production spared no effort or expense and cast Yamadera Kouchi (Spike Spiegel from »Cowboy Bebop«) as Quilge Opie, Hino Satoshi (Momonga from »Overlord«) as Lille Barro, Hanae Natsuki (Tanjirou from »Demon Slayer«) as Gremmy Thoumeaux and Taketatsu Ayana (Nino from »Quintessential Quintuplets) as Bambietta.
»Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War« will premiere on October 11, 2022 on Japanese television and will close the anime adaptation of »Bleach«, which consists of 366 episodes to date and aired in Japan between 2004 and 2012 , away. In Germany, the first 205 episodes of KAZÉ Anime with German and Japanese dubbing are available on DVD and Blu-ray.
