Interpreter of Riri Williams, aka Ironheart, Dominique Thorne will make his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe thanks to “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, which is currently filmed and will be released on July 6, 2022 in our theaters.
The name may not speak to the general public who only know Marvel through movies and series. But it is a character doomed to be important in the future of the MCU who will debut in Black Panther 2: Riri Williams. Created in 2016, the latter is also called Ironheart from the moment it attracts the attention of Tony Stark thanks to the armor, similar to that of Iron Man, that it has managed to build.
With Tony sacrificing himself at the end of Avengers Endgame, the two characters shouldn’t be able to ally themselves on the big and small screen. But Riri may well replace him one way or another. We will undoubtedly know more thanks to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is currently filming and in which its interpreter Dominique Thorne (If Beale Street could speak, Judas and the Black Messiah) will take his first steps, as revealed by Kevin Feige. To ComicBook.com.
That the actress takes over the role is not new, however, because it was announced last December, during the day reserved for Disney investors: the start of an Ironheart series had been revealed, the name of her also interprets. If her role in the plot of Black Panther 2 remains to be defined, the feature film signed Ryan Coogler will serve as a launching pad before she is the heroine of her own title.
Expected on July 6, 2022 in our theaters, the film promises to make sparks if it puts in the same room the geniuses that are Riri Williams and Shuri, little sister of T’Challa. And not just when it comes to soldering armor.
