If Chadwick Boseman was still with us, Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever would have had a different storyline as revealed by the film’s director Ryan Coogler
The death of Chadwick Boseman at just 43 years old from cancer he battled for four years has shocked Marvel fans and those who came into close contact with him. Ryan Coogler, director of Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever, indulged in secrets about the scenario which was reserved for the actor.
The original storyline of Black Panther 2
With the hasty death of Chadwick Boseman, Marvel Studios had to revise its plans vis-à-vis Black Panther 2 since the actor was still to be the star of this sequel. The feature film should have focused on the disappearance of the character after the work of Thanos in Avengers Infinity War.
The tone of the film had to be similar…the character had to mourn lost time, returning after being gone for five years. The feature film addressed the return of a man with heavy responsibilities after an enforced absence of five years. He had to mourn a time he couldn’t make up for. Mourning took a big place in his life.
Instead, Wakanda Forever will focus on passing the torch with the Black Panther’s successor.
Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye, and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must unite with Nakia and Everett Ross to forge a new path for their beloved kingdom.
Black Panther 2 will hit theaters on November 9, 2022, and early reviews have been rave reviews.
