THE LATEST NEWS
THE THREE BRIGANDS – from 5 years old
Adapted from the tale by Tomi Ungerer, also author and illustrator of John of the Moon, the animated film Les Trois Brigands presents the misadventures of the reckless Tiffany. Determined to escape the sinister orphanage where she has just been sent, the little girl will manage to be kidnapped on the way by three dreaded brigands.
From this impromptu meeting, however, an affectionate relationship will be born, which will simply turn the lives of these three villains and their new protégé upside down. Small bonus: the narrator of the story is none other than its author Tomi Ungerer in French version!
Benshi’s opinion: “Faithful to the world of the tale of the author and illustrator Tomi Ungerer, Les Trois Brigands has all the charm of beautiful colorful and contrasting graphics, and an“ old-fashioned ”cartoon. […] In short, Les Trois Brigands is an inventive, sparkling, funny and original film which will delight young and old! ”
IVAN TSAREVITCH AND THE CHANGING PRINCESS – from 5 years old
After his works Princes et Princesses and Les Contes de la nuit, or the majestic Azur et Asmar, the French director Michel Ocelot once again invites viewers on a journey in Ivan Tsarevich and the Changing Princess.
In this animated film, he puts the spotlight on four wonderful stories in the form of a sublime Chinese shadow show so characteristic of the filmmaker. Inspired by tales from around the world, these poetic tales will delight young and old!
Benshi’s opinion: “We can easily recognize the director’s universe, his taste for folklore from all over the world, and the originality of his stories with their particular tone. Its graphic paw is also present. The figures in black silhouette, both minimalist and of great finesse, contrast with the bright colors of the decorations with meticulous ornamentation. ”
