Alejandro González Iñárritu is one of the greatest directors of our time. Here is the director again with a new film, bardo. The plot revolves around the character of Silverio. The latter, a documentary filmmaker of Mexican origin, has lived for years in Los Angeles. He is told one day that he has been nominated as the winner of a prestigious prize, which he is to receive in his native country. Silverio then leaves for Mexico, without really suspecting what awaits him there.. Indeed, the return to the fold does not go as he expected. As soon as he arrives, memories and anxieties for a long time come to undermine the psychological balance of the hero.
In this deeply human epic, treated with humor and tenderness, Silverio faces his history as that of his family and Mexico. The latter is caught in a whirlwind of emotions, both positive and negative… But where will this existential storm take him? ?
