“Barbaque”, the new comedy by Fabrice Eboué, was released on the big screen this Wednesday. We met him to get to know the behind the scenes of this bloody film with sharp humor, forbidden to children under 12.
Vincent and Sophie are butchers. Their business, like their marriage, is in crisis. But their life will be turned upside down the day Vincent accidentally kills a militant vegan who has ransacked their shop… To get rid of the body, he makes a ham that his wife will inadvertently sell. Never before has ham been so successful! The idea of starting over could well titillate them …
Here is the starting point of Barbaque, the new bloody comedy by Fabrice Eboué. Humor guaranteed 100% sharp for this film which wants to attack among other things freedom of expression and at the time, well beyond this pitch around veganism.
Fabrice Eboué goes behind the scenes in the making of this film which has the specificity of being banned for children under 12, a fairly rare ban in the register of comedy, and even more so of French comedy.
In Barbaque, Fabrice Eboué forms a couple with Marina Foïs, and is notably surrounded by Virginie Hocq and Jean-François Cayrey … and Christophe Hondelatte as a common guest.
The film was released in theaters this Wednesday, October 27.
