In a society as focused on image as ours, brands take care above their visual identity, and above all, their logo. Today, it is Bandai Namco which announces its coming moult.

Because some have more quickly than others want to turn the page of the period 2020-2021, the giant Bandai Namco today unveils its plans of world conquest for the next fiscal year : from April 2022, the group will operate a semantic and visual transformation, by changing its logo and its motto, as the announcement a freshly published press release.

Fukidashi Adventure

In 2005, Bandai bought Namco for $ 1.5 billion, to form the group that many players know today. But after 17 years of good and loyal service, the logo with three warm colors will give way to a new visual, more … serious?

And the Japanese giant to explain this choice of reason:

This new speech bubble logo, “Fukidashi” in Japanese, expresses our potential to connect with players around the world, to inspire them with incredible ideas. The speech bubble also represents the manga culture of Japan, which has become so popular all over the place. Magenta used as the dominant color not only represents diversity, but is also easy to reproduce, and creates an impression of brightness.

When is the 幸 せ?

The president of Bandai Namco Holdings, Masaru Kawaguchi, assures us that this change was made with respect for the diversity of the group, and does not hesitate to tick many boxes in the great bingo of the archetypal communicators:

With the launch of our next phase in April 2022, our goal will be to define ourselves as a company. Our message was developed based on internal and external surveys, and after discussions with employees around the world. Their opinions and ideas have guided and inspired us. By providing pleasure to people all over the world, we put smiles on their faces and help them achieve happiness. This is the raison d’être of Bandai Namco.

The company does not intend to stop on such a good path, since‘a vast recruitment campaign intended to attract future graduates for the year 2023 has already been put online. Don’t forget to compliment your interviewer in case you land an interview, eh.
