Back 4 Blood will still have the right to a new DLC. Hoping that this one is a good opportunity to revive the game for good.
After two DLCs that were not necessarily up to par, the zombie game Back 4 Blood confirms the arrival of a third extension bearing the name of River of Blood. The tone is clearly set in the title. The release is scheduled for December 6, 2022as part of the Annual Pass.
What to expect with this Back 4 Blood DLC?
River of Blood will therefore include an all-new story-driven campaign with a mission that spans five maps (chapters) in which players will have to travel up a river, stopping at different points along the way to refuel or face new threats, as always. For the occasion, we will have the possibility of playing a new character, namely Tala, a former cult follower who has become a “Cleaner”, accompanied by an Infested named Jeff who can be summoned to help the team. Clearly we feel the big Michonne inspiration (The Walking Dead) in this addition. Except that Tala seems to trade the katana for the bow.
River of Blood also includes eight character skins and 12 exclusive weapon skins, as well as new weapons, attachments, and maps. As good news never comes alone, the update Trial of the Worm will be available free of charge to all owners of Back 4 Blood and will feature a cooperative PvE mode in which players choose their path along a chain of four maps while earning supply points along the way.
You now have to wait until December 6, 2022 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4 and PS5 to enjoy. We obviously hope that this third track will be better than the other two which received fairly average reviews on Steam as you can see it.
