Ayhan Kayha, who gave life to iconic characters such as Thanos, Optimus Prime and Morpheus with his voice, passed away.

Ayhan Kahya, Voice of Thanos and Optimus Prime, Dies

Famous voice actor and dubbing director Ayhan Kahya died at the age of 64 due to a heart attack. Kayha’s death was announced on the official Twitter account of the Players Union.

In the statement made, “Our esteemed colleague Ayhan Kahya passed away. We wish patience to all his fans, especially his family. Our condolences” were included in the statement. Born in Istanbul in 1958, Ayhan Kahya started his career as a choir performer at the State Opera and Ballet after his conservatory education. In the following years, Kahya started to work on voice-overs and voiced hundreds of TV series, movies and commercials.

After Ayhan Kahya, Yekta Kopan said, “Now, Ayhan Brother… With respect and love…”. Master voice actor Sungun Babacan also passed away last August. Voice actor Harun Can is his colleague, “Ayhan Kahya… Ah, brother. I’m so sorry. His conversation was pleasant, he was a nice person. May he rest in peace.” with his words.
