The final trailer for “Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Empire” has been unveiled, before its cinema release on February 1, 2023. We discover a little more about part of the royal cast that composes it, with in particular a Vincent Cassel in Julius Caesar on the nerves and obviously the two main characters interpreted by Guillaume Canet and Gilles Lellouche.
Asterix and Obelix finally back
Ten years after Asterix and Obelix: At Her Majesty’s Servicethe most famous inhabitants of the small village of Armorica which still and always resists the Roman invader make their return to the big screen. And for this new film, the first not to be an adaptation of a comic strip but an original story, director Guillaume Canet is in charge.
Behind the camera, he is also in front, decked out in the mustache and winged helmet of Asterix. At his side, Gilles Lellouche plays his best friend Obélix. Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Kingdom also has something new: it’s the first film in the series where Gérard Depardieu does not embody the one who fell small into the pot of magic potion.
The final trailer for this big-budget comedy features some of its oversized cast, while showing off some humorous protrusions and unveiling what will be a big battle. Among the stars who will animate the adventure of the two Gauls, Vincent Cassel is Jules César, Marion Cotillard is Cléopâtre and Jonathan Cohen Graindemaïs. A new character arriving from China with a very special mission for Asterix and Obelix…
