Has Ubisoft provided a first glimpse of what the game Assassin’s Creed Red will have in store for us in Japan? A Valhalla DLC pack has just sown doubt.
The publisher will realize the fantasy of some players with Assassin’s Creed Red but will it be up to it?
Assassin’s Creed Red, a teaser start?
A recent post on the Assassin’s Creed Twitter account questions. In the latter, Ubisoft highlights a DLC pack for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and not just any. This is the Yurei Bushido Pack which offers samurai armor and weapons. The precise legend “Imported by a black market trader, this collection of artifacts once belonged to a renowned oriental warrior”.
What is intriguing is that it is not in the habits of the editor to focus so much on such “skinny” content. For some, it would be a clue to Assassin’s Creed Red, the franchise’s first game in Japan.
This episode is still very secret, each communication from Ubi will be scrutinized closely. For the moment, we therefore know that AC Red will take place in Feudal Japan and that players will still normally have the choice of genre. One or a shinobi. The already awaited title will also copy Ghost of Tsushima on an essential point, fidelity. To ensure that this culture is represented with respect, Ubisoft would call on Japanese consultants in order to “to protect the interest of authenticity and cultural sensitivity”.
Assassin’s Creed Red doesn’t have a release window but it’s not rumored to arrive until 2024. An estimate that may not take into account the turmoil in which the software is already located, and which could slow down development.
