Bad news for those waiting for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The next episode of the saga should arrive a little later than expected.
A page turns for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, but another will open for the license. The saga will welcome several new episodes in the years to come. AC Red will take players to Japan, AC Hexe to the days of the Witch Hunt, while the mobile game will immerse them in the heart of ancient China. It is however Assassin’s Creed Mirage which will be approached first. The episode that will mark the return to the roots of the franchise, however, has some internal disappointments.
A release window for Assassin’s Creed Mirage?
Assassin’s Creed Mirage has all the cards in hand to please die-hard fans. The game takes place 20 years before the events of Valhalla, will focus on the roots of the license: secret blade, principles of the Brotherhood, historical figures and even ritual of amputation of the ring finger, absence of RPG mechanics, infiltration and parkour, all the lights are green for a return to basics. Currently, the game is only officially decked out with a vague release window that boils down to one number: “2023”. Finally the game should arrive later than expected.
According to information from Tom Henderson (via InsiderGaming), the release date of Assassin’s Creed Mirage has already been postponed twice internally. Currently, Ubisoft is said to be targeting an August 2023 launch, but the new installment should have released a few months earlier. There is no indication, however, what would cause such a delay internally, even if the leaker think that Ubisoft could come up against the constraints of cross-gen development, although it is a smaller game than the other games of the license. We remind you that AC Mirage is planned for PC, Xbox Series, PS5, but also on PS4 and Xbox One. Maybe Ubisoft will give news of this episode during the Game Awards 2022.
