After two opuses directed by Peyton Reed, the Ant-Man saga continues with “Ant-Man: Quantumania”. A third adventure which has just unveiled its very first images through an explosive and exciting trailer.
Ant-Man: the smallest of heroes
Ant-Man joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in 2015, in front of the Peyton Reed camera. After a second part entitled Ant-Man and the Wasp and his participation in Avengers :Endgame ; the smallest of heroes will return in a third solo adventure titled Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Still directed by Peyton Reed, this third part is expected on February 15 in dark rooms.
This time, Ant-Man, still played by Paul Rudd, will have a lot to do since he will to confront the terrible Kangintroduced as Jonathan Majors in the series Loki. While waiting for the film to be released this winter, Marvel Studios has just unveiled the very first trailer for this new blockbuster. And it looks totally insane!
A trailer full of clues
Driven by the music Goodbye Yellow Brick Road of Elton John, this trailer, which fits perfectly in the continuity of the first two films, emphasizes the characters of the film. With some inspirations borrowed from Guardians of the Galaxythis new adventure will take our heroes to the quantum world.
Cassie Lang, this time played by Kathryn Newton (who succeeds Emma Fuhrmann who was the face of the character in Avengers :Endgame), creates a machine that takes his entire family into the quantum world.
Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Hope van Dynhe (Evangeline Lilly), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Cassie Lang all find themselves immersed in this unknown world which will therefore be developed in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. A visually superb universe emerges, both magical and dangerous. But obviously, behind this colorful and deconstructed world, hides a major threat: Kang!
This first trailer emphasizes both on the character of Michelle Pfeiffer who will use his experience to guide his family in the quantum world; and obviously on Kang, the MCU’s next big bad. These first images also suggest that Cassie Lang will be at the center of the plot, for then add it to Young Avengers. Finally, we can also see the very first visual of Bill Murray, still in a role kept secret… See you on February 15, 2023!
