Who will star opposite Jodie Foster?
In the approved fourth season of “True Detective,” Kali Reis will be one of the lead actors and will play opposite the legendary Jodie Foster. The new season of the anthology drama first received approval in March and is reportedly in the works at the producer. The season titled “True Detective: Night Country” begins with the arrival of the long winter night in Ennis, Alaska, and the six men who run the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Chief) must confront the darkness they carry within themselves and investigate the haunted truths buried under the eternal ice.
Reis is relatively new to acting as he made his debut in the 2021 movie “Catch The Fair One”. In addition to playing the lead role, she also helped develop the story of the film. As a professional boxer, Reis is known for world championships in multiple weight classes. He has a professional record of 19 wins, 7 losses and 1 draw, the last fight being in November 2021. She held both the WBA and IBO women’s superlightweight titles in this fight and won the vacant WBO women’s superlightweight title.
The fourth season of “True Detective” will be filmed in Iceland. In addition to directing, Issa López will serve as writer, executive producer and showrunner for the new season. Alan Page Arriaga will also write and executive produce. Foster will serve as executive producer along with the lead role. from pastel Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski and Mark Ceryak will also executive produce.
Pastel is currently under a first look deal with HBO and HBO Max. Producer of the previous seasons of the series Anonymous Content will executive produce alongside series creator Nic Pizzolatto, Mari Jo Winkler, and first season Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, and Cary Joji Fukunaga. The new season is expected to premiere in 2023.
