The Three Musketeers: the cinema event of 2023
Next year, The three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas are back in service at the cinema! Indeed, director Martin Bourboulon (eiffel) has directed two feature films adapted from the cult work which will be released April 5 and December 13, 2023 : D’Artagnan and Milady. To carry them, he assembled a high-flying cast. Thus, we will find, among others: François Civil (D’Artagnan), Eva Green (Milady), Vincent Cassel (Athos), Romain Duris (Aramis) and Pio Marmaï (Porthos). Louis Garrel will play King Louis XIII.

The two films produced by Pathé and Chapter 2 were shot in France, in natural settings, in 2022. They required the presence of thousands of extras. With a big budget, they promise to be an epic and ambitious adventure, the likes of which we see only too rarely in France:
From the Louvre to Buckingham Palace, from the slums of Paris to the siege of La Rochelle… In a Kingdom divided by the wars of religion and threatened with invasion by England, a handful of men and women will cross their swords and link their destiny to that of France.
An epic first teaser
Four months from the release of the first film, Pathé unveiled a teaser with images from the two feature films The Three Musketeers. And the announced ambition is already reflected in the image. We discover in particular with joy a Venomous Eva Green as Milady. Or even a perfect François Civil in the skin of D’Artagnan. Attention has been paid to the costumes and sets that honor the work of Alexandre Dumas. The artistic direction is apparently in the same vein as The Pact of the Wolves by Christophe Gans.
