Barbaricthe house that should not be rented
Imagine the rather funny situation where you would have booked a guest house but that to your great surprise, when you arrive, someone else would already be installed there. No more choice, you are forced to spend the rest of your stay with a stranger. This is at least what happens in the American fictions of the moment. On Netflix, this resulted in a romance with Love in the Villa. But on Disney+, it is horror that has been favored with Barbaric.
The film features Tess, who arrives in Detroit for a job interview. So she rents a house for a few days, but the mysterious Keith is already present. Despite everything, she agrees to stay and locks herself in her room. But quickly strange things are going to happen in this accommodation and Tess will notably discover a hidden tunnel.
A terrifying trailer
The trailer unveiled by Disney + (in one article) promises a good moment of anguish. The danger shouldn’t necessarily come from Keith, but from a stranger and more disturbing evil. Even if the video shows as little as possible (a good thing), we feel that there could be a part of fantasy. All the more so when you see the producers associated with Barbaric. The very people who gave us That (2017), The Grudge (2004) and The circle (2003). Suffice to say that it promises!
Finally, note the presence in the casting of Bill Skarsgard as Keith. The actor who had scared in Pennywise could this time be on the side of the victims. Georgina Campbellseen recently in Suspicion on Apple TV+, performer Tess. Finally, we can see on these images Justin Long.
Directed by Zach Gregger, Barbarian hit US theaters several weeks ago and was a surprise hit for 20th Century Studios. With a budget of 4 million dollars, the film grossed over 40 million. In France, it is therefore on Disney+ that we can discover from the October 26.
